MEET OUR STAFF
LoAnne was born in Livingston and has been a member of American Lutheran her entire life. She has been a council secretary, Sunday school teacher and Sunday School superintendent. She spent most of her adult life in the nursing profession and now enjoys a variety of interests. She is a visiting homemaker for HRDC and helps care for the bears at the Montana Grizzly Encounter. LoAnne is active in promoting spaying and neutering of dogs and cats in Livingston. Camping, hiking and visiting with the Yellowstone Park wildlife are some of her passions.
Nancy Curtis is a Wisconsin native, baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, and later earned her Masters Degree in Secondary Teaching from Montana State University in Bozeman. Nancy moved to Livingston in 1982, and is currently the choral director at Sleeping Giant Middle School and Park High School in Livingston for grades 7-12.
Edie Linneweber was born and raised in Iowa, graduated from Augustana College in South
Dakota and moved to Livingston with her husband and two children in 1973. She taught French, Spanish and general music in local schools as well as private piano lessons. Edie has been a long-time church organist and pianist at several local churches and was music coordinator at St. Mary’s for many years. Augsburg Fortress published a collection of her piano arrangements in 2010. Edie enjoys playing piano for local functions, doing volunteer work, reading, traveling and is an avid birder.
MEET THE ALC COUNCIL
Dennis was born on a farm in Havre, MT. He moved to Livingston in 1976 to teach. He has been married to his wife Kitty for 43 years. They have four adult children. All four were baptized and confirmed at ALC. Kitty retired from teaching after 41 years. Dennis recently sold his business after 35 years in retail.
Tena was born and raised in Livingston and a lifelong member of ALC. After a 30-year career as both a teacher and principal, she is now an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Montana State University. Tena’s adult daughter and husband live in Arkansas where they are serving and have served in the U.S. Air Force. Tena has two fur babies at home. Honey, an 11-year-old lab and Tait, a 6-month-old Golden Retriever.
Jane was born and raised in North Dakota where she was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Oakes. She moved to Livingston in 1973 beginning her career as a high school teacher and joining ALC. She taught at Park High for 33 years and later at Montana State University. After retiring from teaching, she began working part time at Back Porch Quilts and the Obsidian. She enjoys knitting, quilting and volunteering.
Dana was born and raised in Livingston. He was baptized and confirmed at ALC. After owning and later selling a Blues Bar and literary lounge for nearly 30 years here in Livingston he is now working at the Livingston Elks Lodge. He enjoys the out of doors and watching the Bobcats, Yankees, and Celtics.
Lana and her husband Don joined American Lutheran Church in the early 80’s. Their two children were baptized and confirmed at American Lutheran Church. She has serviced as a Sunday School Teacher, Altar Guild, and Church Treasurer. She is active with WELCA on the church and cluster level. She works at Livingston Healthcare in Patient Financial Services and has worked in two other departments in the past. She enjoys her family and grandchildren, camping, gardening and quilting.
Dale has been a resident in Livingston over 74 years and became a member of ALC in 1970. He plays an active role in handyman projects around the church and organizes the Saturday morning Men’s Bible Study and Brunch and enjoys the big Lutefisk Dinner in November. Dale and his wife Gloria of 49 years have two adult children. He is a retired BNSF and MRL mechanical foreman.
Dale Siegle was born and raised in Glendive, MT. Baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, a great German, Lutefisk & Lefse congregation that enjoyed their coffee after the service. He came to Livingston in 1979, joining ALC. He worked as the Livingston office manager of the Montana Job Service for 15 years and later continued managing the Bozeman Job Service office for 10 years, retiring in 2003. He is currently a part time/seasonal fishing outfitter and real estate broker.
Diane has attended American Lutheran Church since the early 1980s. She has previously served as church treasurer and currently serves as the WELCA secretary. Diane enjoys creating quilts, School Kits and Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relieve as well as Loaves & Fishes. Diane is retired as Comptroller for American Bank where she worked for 37 years.
